Elise started The Downtown Bakery in a small house just off of Broadway Street nearly a decade ago as a way to supplement her family’s income after her first son Soren was born. She decided to name her little home bakery The Downtown Bakery as a nod to her location and more importantly, the fact that her son had Down syndrome. Her customer base steadily grew over the years and in 2020 with the support of her mother and now business partner, Daunelle, they opened the storefront they own today. Please stop in and see us, you may even see our namesake, Soren, and help us “Bake the world a better place.”
