To celebrate the Heart of the Art, Downtown Siloam Springs AND the Main Event 2021- we asked six artists and Downtown advocates in our community to participate in our first ever “Heart of the Art Collaboration Piece”. We took one of our most treasured landmarks, the Gazebo in City Park, and turned it in to this fantastic collaborative painting!

Meet the Artists

“The Rooster”

The top left corner of this fabulous piece was painted by Rhonda Rutledge, c0-owner of Creekside Taproom – Siloam’s first Arkansas craft beer watering hole, and long time supporter of all things Downtown Siloam Springs.

“Classic Gazebo”

This mid-left piece was painted by the collaborator of this concept, Jayme Vaughan. Jayme works for Arvest Bank and serves as one of our fantastic volunteers for our Main Event Committee. Jayme did a fantastic job of seeing this project through from beginning to end. Thanks, Jayme!

“Abstract Steps”

This bottom left piece is definitely the most colorful and was painted by the brilliant Joanna Reid. Joanna isn’t new to the art scene in Downtown Siloam Springs. She’s updated and sealed the “Greetings” mural and most recently painted her own mural, “Scene from Vincent Vangogh’s Cafe Terrace at Night” found at Ability Tree Art Studio & Store building.

“Mosaic Tree Top”

The top right corner was created by Julie Chandler, who is know for her creativity and volunteer heart for our community. Julie is the owner of Creative Corner on Broadway, your one stop shop for all things scrap booking, crafting supplies, and craft/painting parties!

“The Corky Tree

The middle right piece was painted, crafted, and created by Shari Devor, owner of 2 Gals Junk. You can find just about anything treasure, antique, or “junk” related at Shari’s shop! This painting adds a “corky” spin to this collaborative art piece!

“A Trunk in Spring”

The sixth and final piece of this beautiful collaboration was created by owner of Siloam Flowers & Gifts, Melanie Pentecost! Her take on the bottom right corner of this piece brings a fresh, springtime feel to our lovely Gazebo.

A big THANK YOU to these six, creative, passionate women for participating in this fun collaboration! We apprecate all they do, not just for us here at Main Street Siloam Springs, but for our whole community!

This collaborative, one-of-a-kind, art piece will be displayed in Downtown Siloam Springs until the 2022 Main Event on Friday, May 20th, at which time it will be available for purchase in our Live Auction!
